Adesoji Adesugba

Adesoji Adesugba is a highly experienced specialist in investment promotion, investor relations and policy advocacy and has served as Director of Investment Promotion at the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) where he is responsible for the development of strategies to promote and target investments in the Nigerian economy. He was the founder of the division itself in 1999 and played the key role in developing the Nigerian South East Asia Investment Promotion Strategy in 2000, leading to a tremendous increase in Asian investments in the Nigerian economy. He also serves as the Technical Assistant to the Nigerian Minister of Labour and Productivity.
At the NIPC and the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) he was involved in the formulation and implementation of economic policies including electric power reforms, oil and gas sector reforms, pension reforms and the mining sector reforms. He was a member of the National Council on Privatization, Subcommittee on Marketing, Media and Publicity. An advocate of a good investment climate in Africa, Soji is currently working with Nigerian State Governments in the establishment of State Investment Promotion Agencies. He is also assisting the Ministry of Labour and Productivity in the restructuring of the Industrial Arbitration Panel.
Adesoji has a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration, an LL.B degree in Law both from the University of Lagos (Nigeria); and an MBA from the Ogun State University. He is an alumnus of the World Bank Institute and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.  He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Taxation Institute of Nigeria (ACTI), a member of the National Marketing Institute of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management.  He studied Chinese Economic Development at the Normal University in Beijing, China in 2001.
